A docu-drama narrated by Idris Elba, shining a light on and celebrating the contributions of Black and Asian soldiers during WWII. My film tells the story of the 320th, the only Black combat unit to land on the Normandy beaches. Their stories and contributions to the war effort have been left out of history books and largely untold. Paired with stylized dramatic reconstructions, the aim is for their stories to feel visceral and celebrated. Many of the men and women returned home to a divided and segregated America.
